Published in December 2016 with assistance from BePublished.org, EL TEJEDOR is the second published work penned by beloved poet Gregorio Huerta. EL TEJEDOR is also Huerta's first book of poems published in the Spanish language.
Huerta's debut work, DREAMS & MEMORIES, is a collection of poems written in English and first released in 1999 before being re-released in September 2016.
GREGORIO HUERTA was born in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas, Mexico, in 1944. After finishing high school, he moved to Chicago and was drafted into the United States Army. Upon his discharge, he joined General Motors as an apprentice tinsmith, subsequently becoming a journeyman. In 1983, he resumed his education and holds, among other degrees, a Master of Arts in English Literature from Chicago State University.
Some of Mr. Huerta's poems have previously been published by Chicago State University and by DePaul University. The author of DREAMS & MEMORIES and EL TEJEDOR has received numerous awards for his works and plans to release additional poetry in the future for your collection. The poet is married and has two children.
